The Client

Westside Table is an approachable, diverse, and inclusive church community. They operate with a clear and open motto: “Everyone’s welcome. Everyone can serve”. Deeply invested in their neighborhood, they actively partner with local food pantries, schools, and campus ministries to serve the city. After years of meeting in a brewery and cultivating a down-to-earth, non-traditional community , they began preparing for a major transition: moving into a historic, traditional church building on a prominent neighborhood corner.
They Asked...
Westside Table knew their digital presence needed to act as a welcoming “commercial” for outsiders and visitors. Their existing website was overly static, lacking the engagement and warmth of their actual congregation. More importantly, as they transitioned from a brewery into a traditional church facility, they needed to ensure their brand didn’t lose its unique, hip, and welcoming identity or create the false perception that their progressive values were changing. They asked Station16 to help define their audience, increase brand visibility, and build a cohesive online home ahead of their big move.
We Delivered…
Foundation & Strategy
We started by defining three core target audiences: the “church homeless” (former churchgoers seeking a new community), “local-minded” individuals invested in their neighborhood, and “new MCers” (those familiar with the UMC but desiring a more modern approach). To speak to these varied groups, we developed a dynamic brand persona around four distinct supporting character archetypes.

Digital Experiences
We launched a dynamic, interactive web experience to replace their old static site. To instantly engage visitors, we integrated a rotating hero video loop at the top of the site. We completely restructured their site map to improve the user journey, placing clear calls-to-action for event signups and newsletters. We also overhauled their membership section, changing the language to make the process feel less transactional and more conversational.
Story & Reputation
To capture the authentic heart of their church, we coordinated custom photography focusing on their diverse congregation living life together, ensuring they avoided generic stock images. We helped them craft a continuous digital narrative centered on “belonging,” intentionally welcoming those who have previously felt disenfranchised or hesitant about traditional church environments.
