The Client

Skidaway Church is situated in a community of about 10,000 people on Skidaway Island. They are deeply dedicated to showing people the loving and caring community they have to offer. In all of their communications, they strive for a presence that is completely authentic to who they are—neither overly traditional nor artificially modern.
They Asked...
Skidaway Church came to Station16 because their existing website was struggling with outdated images, inconsistent fonts, and mismatched page layouts. The homepage had become chaotic, trying to do too many things at once without clearly communicating their core message. Furthermore, they were dealing with disjointed branding, having used both “Skidaway Church” and “Skidaway Island Baptist Church” interchangeably, alongside various disconnected design attempts. They needed a massive digital upgrade to fix poorly functioning elements, streamline their platforms, and create a cohesive online presence.
We Delivered…
Foundation & Strategy
Before designing a single webpage, we tackled their content overload to fix the chaotic flow of their previous site. We conducted a deep dive into their existing materials, streamlining and strategically reassigning content. By building a completely new site map and information architecture, we mapped out an intuitive user journey that ensures a first-time visitor can just as easily find service times as a long-time member can find volunteer resources.

Digital Experiences
We brought the strategy and design together to launch a brand-new, custom web experience. The new website serves as a massive upgrade to their digital presence, replacing their cluttered, outdated platform with a sleek, user-friendly interface. To elevate the user experience even further, we migrated their extensive sermon archive to a dedicated YouTube library and integrated seamless, on-site streaming so users can easily watch past messages without ever leaving the website.

Design Systems
To solve their history of inconsistent branding, we carefully refined their existing brand marks. We upgraded and rebuilt their primary logos to be fully scalable and responsive, providing them with a modernized, flexible design system that looks crisp and professional across any device. To further unify their visual identity and help organize their expanded digital footprint, we also designed a custom suite of new icons tailored to specific ministries—like their Kids and Youth programs.
